About Me

I am a registered sick children’s nurse and lactation consultant (IBCLC) with over 13 years of experience working within the field of paediatrics and infant nutrition and breastfeeding. I spent a number of years running a large human milk bank in Cape Town, South Africa and lectured at the University of Cape Town covering topics such as infant nutrition, breastfeeding and kangaroo mothercare. I also worked as a clinic sister at a busy Baby clinic which involved vaccinating infants and supporting mothers with breastfeeding problems in a hospital and home setting.

Having realised that there was a massive gap in postnatal care and emotional support provided to mothers and also having had my first child, Vivienne, I have made it a priority to offer knowledgeable, compassionate, mother and baby centred pre and postnatal care.

I now live in Bristol, UK and have a private practice offering home visits and antenatal teaching.

I have professional indemnity, a member of the Lactation Consultants of Great Britain and have current police clearance.
